Getting started
Create an account and a widget
Choose what guests can book (a table, catering or a private event) and one of six designs.
Set your opening hours and seats
For table bookings, under Settings. Guests only see times you are open and have seats left.
Make it yours and publish
Change the wording, add your own questions, try it, and publish when it is ready.
Put it on your website
Copy one line under Add to website and paste it where your website lets you add code. The guides below show where.
Make a test booking
Book like a guest would and check the confirmation email. Cancel it with the link in the email afterwards.
Your dashboard keeps the same list for each widget and ticks off what is done.
Add it to your website
Under Add to website in your dashboard you find two lines of code. The button line puts a booking button in the corner of every page. The in-page line shows the widget itself where you paste it, for example on a page called Book a table. You only need one of them.
WordPress
Button in the corner
- Under Plugins → Add New, install the free plugin WPCode.
- Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer.
- Paste the button line into the Footer box and save.
Inside a page
- Edit the page in the block editor.
- Add a Custom HTML block where the widget should go.
- Paste the in-page line and update the page.
On WordPress.com, scripts and plugins need a plan that allows plugins. On a plan without them, use the link instead.
Wix
Button in the corner
- In your site’s dashboard, open Settings and then Custom code (under Advanced).
- Click Add Custom Code and paste the button line.
- Choose All pages, place the code in Body – end, and apply.
Inside a page
- In the editor, click Add → Embed code → Embed HTML.
- Choose Code, paste the in-page line and update.
- Wix doesn’t let the box grow by itself, so drag it to about 650 pixels tall.
Wix only allows custom code on a premium plan with a connected domain.
Squarespace
Button in the corner
- Open the Code Injection settings (search for “Code Injection” in the panel).
- Paste the button line into Footer and save.
Inside a page
- Edit the page and add a Code block where the widget should go.
- Paste the in-page line and save.
Code injection and code blocks with scripts need a plan that includes them.
Webflow
Button in the corner
- Open Site settings → Custom code.
- Paste the button line into Footer code and save.
- Publish the site.
Inside a page
- Add a Code Embed element where the widget should go.
- Paste the in-page line, save, and publish the site.
Custom code needs a paid site plan.
Shopify
Button in the corner
- Go to Online Store → Themes, click the three dots on your theme and choose Edit code.
- Open layout/theme.liquid.
- Paste the button line just above </body> and save.
Inside a page
- In the theme editor, add a Custom Liquid section to the page.
- Paste the in-page line and save.
Your own HTML, or a developer
Button in the corner
- Paste the button line just before </body> on every page, or in a shared footer template.
Inside a page
- Paste the in-page line where the widget should appear. It fills the width of its container.
No website you can add code to
Use the link to the widget’s own page
- In your Instagram bio, or as an Instagram action button.
- As the reservation or booking link in your Google Business Profile, so it shows on Google Maps.
- Behind a “Book a table” button on a website that doesn’t allow scripts.
- In emails, newsletters and QR codes on your menus.
Questions restaurants ask
Do I need a developer to add it?
No. You copy one line from your dashboard and paste it where your website lets you add custom code. There are step-by-step guides for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and Shopify. If your website has no such place, you get a link to the same widget as a page of its own.
Can two parties book the same table?
Not through the widget. A table reservation is checked against your seats and opening hours at the moment it is made. If someone else takes the last seats first, the guest is asked to pick another time.
How do I find out about a new booking?
You get an email for every new booking and every cancellation, and the booking shows up in your dashboard. Requests that wait for your answer are marked there. The emails can be turned off per widget.
Can guests cancel?
Yes. Every guest gets a confirmation email with a link to cancel, up to the booked time. The seats are freed at once, and you get an email about it unless you have turned those emails off.
Which languages does it speak?
Guests get the widget in Swedish or English and can switch between them. The dashboard is in English.
Can I change the widget after it is on my site?
Yes. You edit a draft, try it, and publish when you are happy. The line on your website stays the same.
What happens to my guests’ details?
They are stored for you and shown only to you. They are not sold or used for advertising, and guests get no cookies. The privacy policy has the details.
